All-cargo carrier Aerologic must curve around Russia
All-cargo airline Aerologic is not allowed to overfly Russian territory reports „Die Welt“on February 13, 2010. Aerologic, the joint venture of DHL and Lufthansa Cargo, has applied for the permit months ago but approval by Russian Ministry of Traffic is still pending. “Because of the relatively shorter distance involved between China and Western Europe, Russian air carriers have less costs over their rivals and promote their services to customers more aggressively to gain market share” commented Dirk Steiger, analyst of the Frankfurt-based aviainform GmbH. |
