| New all-cargo routes linking Taiwan with Xiamen, Nanjing and Fuzhou |

China Airlines today proudly announced the inauguration of three new all-cargo routes linking the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport with Xiamen, Nanjing and Fuzhou. The new cargo route to Xiamen begins on September 4, while the new service to Nanjing will begin on September 11. The new cargo service between Taoyuan and Fuzhou will be launched at the end of September, making CAL the first airline to operate cargo aircraft at Fuzhou since the city's Changle International Airport was opened in 1997. These history-making new cargo flights are expected to mostly transport electronic goods, textiles and shoes. CAL already successfully operates cross-strait cargo flights to Shanghai-Pudong and Guangzhou. Starting on September 4, CAL operates a weekly cargo flight to Xiamen every Saturday. Then on September 11, CAL will add a weekly cargo flight to Nanjing, also on Saturdays. At the end of September, the new twice-weekly cargo flights to Fuzhou will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays. CAL is planning to eventually operate a total of 12 weekly cross-strait all-cargo flights to five different destinations across mainland China to better serve cargo customers shipping their goods around the world. CAL currently operates a fleet of 20 B747-400F freighters, and according to the International Air Transport Association, CAL is the 10th largest international cargo airline in the world. Since August of 2009, CAL has transported 56,000 tons of cargo from airports in mainland China, accounting for 10 percent of its total worldwide cargo loads, and CAL also recorded a cargo load factor of over 75 percent from January to July of 2010.
