| Faults in tender process to delay US troops contract |
|
The awarding of the 1.66bn euro logistics contract to supply US troops in the Middle East is still contested. Currently two companies are at loggerheads over the profitable contract. In April it was reported that Dubai based Anham LLC will take over the business from Agility at the beginning of next year (CEP-News 16/10). Due to faults in the tender process Kuwait based KGL (Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport) protested against the decision. According to the company the contract is still up for grabs and bids were still accepted. Source: CEP News, July 28, 2010 |
