| Carriers - Cathay Pacific to buy 6 A350-900 aircraft |

Hong Kong based Cathay Pacific just announced to purchase six Airbus A350-900 aircraft at a llist price of roughly USD 1.6 billion. The deal that has been signed on January 20 states that Cathay will receive the aircraft between 2016 and 2017. On September 16, 2010, Cathay signed already an order to purchase 30 A350-900. Additionally Cathay signed an order of 15 A330 aircraft on March 06, 2011. From Boeing, Cathay has ordered 10 B777-300ER aircraft plus 8 B777-200F full freighters.
